Shirley A. Ostrowski, 76, Township of Elderon, Marathon County, died on Monday morning December 12, 2011 after a lengthy stay at Mountview Care Center, Wausau. She was born on July 9, 1935 in Pulaski, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Everard) Cornell. On June 6, 1953, Shirley was united in marriage to Eugene Ostrowski at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. He survives.

Shirley was a member of Holy Family-St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg and its Christian Mother's. She was also a member of a rural Homemakers group.

In addition to her husband, Eugene, survivors include her children, Greg (Sandy) Ostrowski, Eland, John Ostrowski, Minnesota, Debra (David) Laude, Wisconsin Rapids and Richard (Mary) Ostrowski, Eland;

Surviving grandchildren and children of Greg and Sandy are Craig (Jessica) Ostrowski and their three children, Jadyn, Kylie and Addison, Scott (Nicole) Ostrowski and Kimberly; children of John and late wife Kathy, are Ashley and Amy; children of Deb and Dave are Krystal and Kirby (Chris) Bell and children of Richard and Mary are Robyn (Matt) Krull and daughter Harper, Heather and Travis; two sisters, Donna (Carl) McGilvery, Pulaski, Jeanne Doering, Mattoon and one brother, Merle (Sharon) Cornell, Appleton. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by brothers, Don, Clyde and Johnny Cornell; son Craig and a granddaughter, Shirley Marie Laude.
