MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker has raised $5.1 million since July and spent nearly $4 million as he faces an effort to recall him from office.
Walker reported the latest figures in filings with the state on Thursday.
Walker reported having $3 million cash on hand as of Dec. 10.
For the calendar year, Walker reported raising $7.6 million and spending nearly $5 million.
Walker has aired three television ads, which began in mid-November at the same time the recall petitions began to be circulated.
Organizers of the recall said Thursday they have collected 507,000 signatures. They have until Jan. 17 to turn in 540,208 to force an election sometime next year.
