GREEN BAY (AP) -- The Salvation Army of Brown County branch may not have received frankincense or myrrh, but its bell ringers have found a gift of gold.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports an anonymous donor dropped a gold coin in a red kettle this week. The one-ounce American Eagle coin is worth $1,600.
Organization Captain Ken Shiels says he had to check it over at first to know it was real. He says it was a thrill to find out that it was, and an extra thrill to discover how much it's worth.
