The UW-Stevens Point professor accused of punching a student during a field trip has resigned. University officials say Meghan Buckley will be done at the end of the upcoming semester.
For now the school has reassigned Buckley to research duties. In addition, she cannot have any interaction with any UW students.
A student claimed that Buckley punched him several times while he sat on a bus after finishing a project in Lincoln County last summer.
Newsline 9 spoke with the Lincoln County District Attorney and he says that his office has received the police report for this case and it is under review.
There are no charges against Buckley right now.
