Argentine governor killed by own gun; wife queried
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- Authorities in Argentina are preparing to interview the wife of a ruling party governor who was killed in his bedroom early on New Year's Day with a single shot from his own handgun.
Rio Negro Gov. Carlos Soria was quickly buried Sunday night as hundreds of people mourned his death in his small hometown of General Roca.
Prosecutor Miguel Angel Fernandez Jahde confirms that Soria was killed after a "family argument" but released no other details Monday.
The governor's wife, Susana Freydoz, has not been charged in the killing, which remains under investigation.
