Victor Filtz, 83, formerly of Ellis passed away from natural causes on Tuesday December 27, 2011. He was born Oct. 17, 1928, the son of the late Frank & Victoria (Soik) Filtz. He was a life long resident of Ellis and lived on the family farm until April of 2009 when he moved to an adult family home in Stevens Point, where he resided until his death. Victor loved to socialize with friends and neighbors at the local establishments. He had a great sense of humor and expressed it readily. He had a lifelong dream of flying his own airplane and worked at building one for many years. His handiwork is currently stored on the family farm destined to never leave the ground.
Victor is survived by one niece Bernadine Uddin of Palm Springs, CA and two nephews, Richard (Mary) Filtz of the Town of Stockton and Gerald Filtz of Stevens Point. He was preceded in death by two brothers Stanley and Clarence Filtz.
Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Wednesday Jan. 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial in the St. Martin's cemetery in Ellis. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services Wednesday morning at the Church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
