British authorities look into death of woman found at royal estate
LONDON (AP) -- An autopsy has been conducted on the woman whose body was found at the rural estate in England where Queen Elizabeth and her family celebrated the New Year.
Authorities are still trying to learn the woman's identity, and find out how she died.
They are treating the case as a murder.
The body was found on New Year's Day about three miles from the elegant country home of Sandringham.
Sandringham covers an area larger than New York's Manhattan. Part of the nearly 20,000-acre royal estate is open to the public. The body was found in a forest at a hamlet of several dozen people on the estate.
A police inspector says authorities are examining missing person reports from around the country.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are still at Sandringham House, along with one of her sons, Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie.
