Colligan's Bakery in Stevens Point will be closing for good, leaving 51 employees without a job.
In a letter to the Department of Workforce Development, the bakery's owner says the business is closing because of extreme financial bankruptcy.
According to the letter, there was a proposed sale of the business which would have allowed employees to keep their jobs, but the deal is not longer a viable option.
Colligan's owner expects the locations at 1733 West River Drive and 2201 Division Street to be closed on January 14.
