WAUSAU (WAOW)--Wausau Police now say they have uncovered new evidence in the armed robbery at the Tower Credit Union on Tuesday.
Investigators returned to the location, near the Wisconsin River, where they found robbery suspect David Samuelson. They report finding a weapon, hat, glove and money taken from the credit union.
David Samuelson, 52, is being held in the Marathon County jail. He is expected to appear in court Thursday. A jailer tells Newsline 9 that investigators requested the delay so officers can complete their investigation.
On Tuesday an armed man walked up to a teller at the Tower Credit Union and demanded money. A credit union worker called 911 after the robber left the building. Police then moved in and set up a perimeter in the area.
Officers say they found the suspect about 50 yards north of West Wausau Avenue, near the Wisconsin River.
