2 decapitated bodies left at posh Mexico City mall
MEXICO CITY (AP) -- The Mexico City prosecutor's office says two decapitated bodies were found inside a burning car at the entrance to a posh Mexico City shopping mall.
A prosecutor's statement says the heads and a threatening message were dumped nearby.
Local media published images of the charred car at an entrance to the Santa Fe shopping mall early Wednesday. They report that a note left with the heads was signed by the drug gang "Mano con Ojos," or "Hand with Eyes."
The spokesman was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
Santa Fe is a manicured bubble of modern, heavily secured high-rises on the western edge of the capital. It is home to multinational corporate offices and the homes of wealthy Mexicans and foreigners.
