STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -- The fate of the Stevens Point mall is still undecided.
At a hearing on Tuesday, a Portage County judge ordered both parties to put their final arguments in writing.
Mall owner Iowa-based Valley Bank asked the court to stop the city from redeveloping the 167,000-square-foot property.
The city wants to redevelop the mall to help revitalize downtown. And they want to start by moving Mid-State Technical College into the former J.C. Penney wing of the mall.
If the judge rules in favor of the city, it can immediately start to redevelop. But, if the judge rules against them, nothing can happen until a separate lawsuit is settled.
