Dorothy Slowinski Ruschmann, 83 formerly of the Stevens Point area died Friday, January 6, 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Her life was celebrated with a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Rapids.
She was born April 27, 1928 in Mill Creek. She was the daughter of Anton and Stella Slowinski. She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. Dorothy was the office secretary at PJ Jacobs before leaving the area and moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan where she met the love of her life Joseph Ruschmann. They were married on July 28, 1950. Her husband passed away on February 9, 1993.
She is survived by her children Connie (Jim) Warner, Paul Ruschmann, Suellen (Kevin) Jeffers, and Rob (Shari) Ruschmann and her beloved grandchildren, Kecia and Colin Warner, Jessica and Hanna Jeffers, and Jenna and Ryan Ruschmann and one brother Roman (Sophie) Slowinski of Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph and her oldest son Bernard (Bernie), seven brothers Leo, John, Benedict, Aloise, Steven Alexander and Alfred, seven sisters Frances Slowinski, Martha Cabot, Theresa Mansavage, Angeline Loftis, Florence Smith, Cecelia Lindstrom and Sophie (Sally) O'Leary.
