The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is active until 6PM Monday for Marathon, Wood, Portage, Lincoln, Oneida, Vilas, Langlade, Forest, Waupaca and Shawano, Adams, Juneau, Clark, Taylor and Jackson Counties.
Once colder air wraps around on the backside of the storm, we'll see snow develop across Central Wisconsin. 2-4" is possible by tonight in most of Marathon, Wood and Portage counties. 4-6" is likely in parts of the Northwoods. Wind will also be a factor hailing out of the northwest today at 10 to 20+ mph.
Temperatures today will be their warmest in the early morning. We'll see an official high temp around 31 degrees, but watch the mercury fall throughout the afternoon.
Tuesday and much of the upcoming work week looks much calmer. Partly cloudy should summarize what we experience Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures hitting 29 and 33 degrees respectively.
Both Thursday and Friday should see temperatures tick up to 33 degrees on Thursday and 30 on Friday with partly cloudy to partly sunny conditions. At this point it appears some light snow is likely on Saturday, mainly north of Wausau.
