(WAOW) - The DC Everest boys' basketball team hasn't won an outright conference title since 1970. But, the Evergreens entered Tuesday 6-0 in Valley play, one game ahead of Stevens Point in the conference standings.

The Evergreens beat the Panthers by three earlier in the season, but Luke Heller scored 29 points Friday to lead DC Everest to a 59-30 win.

In Tigerton, the host Tigers welcomed conference-leading Almond-Bancroft to town. Both teams traded baskets and fought back and forth throughout, but the Eagles held on for a 30-29 win.
