WAUSAU (WAOW)-- Family and friends of 19-month-old Kohin Pasholk gathered atRichard's Restaurant and Bar in Wausau to raise money for mounting medical bills.
Kohin has a mystery illness that has baffled doctors in Wisconsin and Chicago. He was recently diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome, meaning he is unable to absorb nutrients from food.
A fundraiser and raffle was held at the restaurant to help the Pasholk family raise money to take Kohin to a specialist in Texas.
"It's absolutely amazing. The support that we have gotten from this community is just amazing, just amazing," said Kohin's mother Tara.
Kohin's parents said they hope they can eventually get some answers, so that he can lead a normal life.
