Jeanne Valerie Tanghe (Conrad), born July 10th, to the late Laura Conrad-Golla and Harry Bly Conrad, passed away peacefully at her home in Almond on Jan. 27, 2012.
She was born in Wauwatosa, but moved at an early age to Hayward, and later to Livermore, California, where she had a long and productive life. Her activities were varied and included interior decorating, real estate investing, genealogy, ecological farming/land use, traveling to Hawaii and non-traditional spiritual studies.
Jeanne was very proud to have the Kawlewski name as part of her heritage and was glad she helped organize the very first successful reunion that this large family had.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Tanghe, who was her high school sweetheart. Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Ross-Norman of California, and Sharon Golla-Ditmore of Almond; son, Robert Michael Tanghe; daughter, Valerie Jean Roek; grandchildren, Christopher George Roek and Arianna Tanghe all of California; nieces, Tanya Sienko of Chicago, Illinois, Lisa (Aaron) Schaufenbuel, and grandniece, Adrianna Schaufenbuel both of Stevens Point; special friends, Eric and Erica Simonds of California.
A special thank you to Ministry Hospice.
Jeanne requested that no services be held for her and asked that each person who knew her take the time to remember and celebrate her in their own way.
