MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Wausau Paper leaders have announced the sale of their Print and Color brands to Neenah Paper, Inc. of Alpharetta Georgia.
According to a press release from Wausau Paper, a cash payment of $21 million has been received for the brands and certain related manufacturing equipment.
In recent years, the Mosinee- based company says net income for color-paper products has dropped $13 million a year to about $5 million.
Wausau Paper announced the closure of the Brokaw mill in early December. 450 people will be out of work when that happens.
