GROSSE POINTE PARK, MI (AP) -- The husband of a suburban Detroit woman found strangled in her car has thanked supporters and says he's cooperating with police.
Bob Bashara says his family is grieving a "horrific event." He says the death of his wife Jane Bashara has been an "unconceivable tragedy."
Police say Bob Bashara is a person of interest. No charges have been announced.
Bashara spoke to reporters Wednesday outside his home in Grosse Pointe Park, a day after his wife's funeral. He refused to answer any questions. Jane Bashara was found in her car in a Detroit neighborhood a week ago, miles from her home.
With his mother Nancy and son Robert standing next to him, Bob Bashara asked for prayers and privacy.
Robert Bashara says the family misses his mother very much.
