(WAOW) - Many area athletes signed their letters of intent as part of national signing day.
Most notably, Wisconsin Rapids' linebacker Vince Biegel made his commitment to Wisconsin official, saying this day is a dream come true.
Several other football players put pen to paper and made their college selections official. Wausau East's Brandon Luedke, Brent Esser and Sam Graff from DC Everest, Colby's Alex Jorgenson, Ryan Ramczyk from SPASH, Wausau West's Evan Mayer and Mitch Elbe from Northland Pines.
Amherst's Katy Rutz will participate in division one track at Indiana State. DC Everest's Jacob Dirkman will run cross country at Columbus State.
In Tomahawk, Rachel Sudbury signed to run track at Bradley.
