The finalist for the Merrill School District's superintendent position has withdrawn his name for consideration.
Ted DiStefano was name a finalist by the board for the position.
"While we are disappointed by Dr. DiStefano's decision, we are no less committed to finding an outstanding leader to serve as the next superintended of the Merrill Area Public Schools," said Bill Jaeger, school board president. "The board remains dedicated to continuing the search process."
The school board met Thursday night and voted to repost the position immediately.
