Joseph C. Glodoski
Of Stevens Point died early Friday morning February 3, 2012 at St. Michaels Hospital. Age 85 Joe was born February 6, 1926 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Koziczkowski) Glodoski. He attended local grade schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1944. Joe entered the United States Army on June 27, 1944 at Fort Sheridan, IL. He served as a PFC in Rhineland and Central France. He received the WW II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, 2 Overseas Service Bars, Army Occupation Medal of Germany and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on June 13, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, IL. His marriage to Gladys Kujawski took place on November 8, 1969 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Gladys survives. Joe worked for Lullabye Furniture in the shipping department for over thirty years, and also worked for Sentry Insurance until his retirement in 1989. After his retirement Joe enjoyed his wood working projects, many of which were donated to church picnics. He was a member of the American Legion Behrens-Scribner Post 6, the Holy Name Society of St. Peters Church and the Moose Lodge of Stevens Point. Survivors include his wife Gladys and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Monday February 6, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Arul V. officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Monday morning at the Faustina Room of St. Peters Church until the time for mass. There will be a parish Rosary at 9:45 AM Monday morning.
