WAUSAU (WAOW) -- One company that's expanding in Wausau is already training its new employees. Collaborative Consulting is a technology-based business. It already hired twelve new workers. But they're still looking for more.
Company leaders said they plan to continue the hiring process during the next few months.
"The next wave, we're going to look for more junior folks coming out of college who will have probably little to no work experience in computer programming but hopefully have gone through some courses and have the right attitude and aptitude to become part of our workforce," said Collaborative Consulting senior VP of marketing and services John Williams.
The company is still finalizing a lease agreement at the Dudley Tower in downtown Wausau, which is where it set up temporary space for training. Collaborative Consulting officials said they're confident they'll be able to move in permanently.
"We look at this really as a launch pad, hopefully for bringing jobs back to the U.S.," said Williams. "So far, it's been right on track and the quality of folks we've seen is exactly what we hoped it'd be so hopefully it's up from here."
