(WAOW) - The Wisconsin Rapids wrestling team has been the king of the sport in this state for nearly two decades.
The Raiders have won 15 state titles and 16 conference crowns in the last 17 years, but this year, the heat is on.
Rapids is the top-ranked team in division one, but right behind them is top-ranked Merrill and third-ranked Wausau West.
The Raiders had seven individual champions to win the WVC title again, West finished second and Merrill was third.
Tomahawk won the Great Northern Conference wrestling title in Minocqua, while in the pool, Wausau East claimed the valley crown.
