ASHFORD, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities say a third teenager has died after an SUV went off a rural road in Fond du Lac County of eastern Wisconsin.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department says it learned around noon Sunday that 16-year-old Katie Berg has died. It did not immediately have the time of death.
The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Beechnut Road north of Highway 67 in the town of Ashford.
Fifteen-year-old Sabrina Stahl and 17-year-old Caitlin Scannell died at the scene. Six other Campbellsport students between 16 and 18 years old were hospitalized. Four were in serious condition and two others were in satisfactory condition at Milwaukee and Fond du Lac hospitals.
Authorities say speed and failure to wear seat belts appear to be factors, but alcohol does not.
