ADAMS COUNTY (WAOW)-- Authorities say an Adams woman is in fair condition after being hit by a car.
Adams County Sheriff's deputies say 23-year-old Brandi Norton was walking along State Highway 13 in the Township of Dell Prairie when she was hit by a car.
Police say Norton was walking on the highway because the vehicle she was driving had run out of gas. She was then struck by a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Shiwu Chen, also from Adams.
Norton was transported to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and then flown by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison.
Wisconsin State Patrol assisted the Adams County Sheriff's Office on scene. The incident remains under investigation.
