Randy D. Froehlich, 55, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Palliative Care.

 

Randy was born March 13, 1956 to Conrad and Katherine (Marquardt) Froehlich in Wausau.  His father, Conrad preceded him in death on January 18, 2008. 

 

Randy served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp. 

He was previously employed at Sears in Wausau, and has been employed at Wal-Mart in Rib Mountain, for the past 17 years.

 

Randy's favorite things in life were spending time with his good friends at Day's Bowl a Dome, or up north at a campsite, telling stories and drinking a good brew around the campfire. Randy also loved to spend time with his three nieces and nephew, especially at Christmastime, and at Birthday and Graduation parties. Randy will always be remembered that he put the feelings of others before his own, and also for his generosity and kind heart to family and friends.

 

He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan.

 

Survivors include his mother, Katherine Froehlich, Wausau; two brothers, David (Diane) Froehlich, Wausau and Alan (Dawn) Froehlich, Weston; nephew Daniel; three nieces, Beth (Brian) Zieske, Wausau, Wendy Froehlich, Wausau and Ashely (Barry) VanDenbrink, Chetek, WI; three great nieces and four great nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Brainard Funeral Home , 522 Adams Street, Wausau.  Rev. John Roseth of Saint Andrew Lutheran Church will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home

 

The family would like to acknowledge Randy's good friends, they all have been a great comfort at this time of sorrow.  Randy's best friend Steve Frank, and his wife Sherrie. Mike and Joanie Seehafer, Scott and Jeaninne Durkee, Kerby Kniess, Roger Kittel, Steve and Laura Ellenbacher, Kim Lemke, Diane and Charlie Echols, and many others.

 

The family would also like to recognize the kind and compassionate care that Randy received at the Aspirus ICU and Palliative care units.
