Eleanor Brzezinski

Eleanor Brzezinski, 85, Bevent, died peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2012 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Hospice House, Wausau.
Eleanor was born December 15, 1926 in the town of Franzen, Marathon County, the daughter of the late Frank & Adelia (Stroik) Goskowicz.
On October 4, 1947, Eleanor was united in marriage to Alex Brzezinski in Galloway.  He preceded her in death on September 8, 2001.
Eleanor was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent and its Rosary Society and choir.  She was also a member of the Prayer & Praise Group.  Eleanor enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Pine Tree Quilters.  She sewed a quilt for each of her children with each receiving an award for Workmanship.
Survivors include six children, Joanne (Henry) Filtz, Custer, Andrew (Marlene) Brzezinski, Wausau, Loretta (Stephen) Stoltz, Minnetonka, MN, Leon (Karen) Brzezinski, Wausau, Francine "Tina" (Terry) Filtz, Galloway and Joyce (John) Morien, Ringle; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Garski, Rosholt, Esther Ostrowski, Galloway, Alvin Goskowicz, Milwaukee, Antone (Rose) Goskowicz, California and James Goskowicz, Tennessee; three sisters-in-law, Lucille (Ed) Stankowski, Mosinee, Mary Ann (Harley) Vander Kooy, Weston and Agnes Gliniecki, Mosinee; five brothers-in-law, Anthony Brzezinski, Amherst, Carl Brzezinski, Wausau, Bernard (Dolores) Brzezinski, Mosinee, John (Chesterine) Brzezinski, Muskego and James Brzezinski, Wausau.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by three brothers, Julian, Norbert and Eugene and three sisters; Bernadette Wanta, Bernice Szeremet and Wanda Trzebiatowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, February 13, 2012 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent.  Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm with a Rosary service at 7pm.  Visitation will continue on Monday from 9am until the time of service all at the church.
