WAUSAU (WAOW)--A judge has dismissed a lawsuit over the Center Point Mall in Stevens Point.
The judge's ruling means the city can move forward with downtown redevelopment plans.
City leaders want to revamp downtown mall so it houses the downtown campus for Mid-State Technical College. Mayor Andrew Halverson said, "We have to move forward quickly and we want to get things done so in the next 2 or 3 months you'll see architects and engineers and alot of progress down there."
The former owner of the mall, Valley Bank, argued the property is not blighted and the city illegally condemned the property. The attorney's for Valley Bank were unavailable for comment after the court ruling.
