Phyllis C. Burant age 70, of Rosholt passed away
Thursday February 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by family and under the
care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February
14, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Greg Michaud will
officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of
services at the church. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the
family.
Phyllis was born on July 3, 1941 in Rosholt, the daughter of Ted and
Loretta (Czerwinski) Pehowski. She attended school at George
Washington and St Adalbert Elementary schools, and the class of 1960
from Rosholt High School. She married Nick Burant on November
11, 1961 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church the couple raised three children.
Phyllis graduated from the Stevens Point Beauty Academy in 1977, and worked
over the years at various salons in Stevens Point & Rosholt. She
enjoyed shooting pool and darts, listening to Polka Music and playing
practical jokes. She was a fabulous cook, and prepared 1000's of
delicious meals for family, friends, and workers on the farm. A few
of her specialties included old fashioned chicken soup, potato salad, and
Italian beef. Phyllis loved to travel, a passion she passed along to
her children. She visited nearly every state, as well as Mexico,
Brazil, Germany, France, and China..
She is survived by her husband Nick; their three children: Michelle (Kevin)
Graf, Appleton; Kevin (Amy) Burant, Denver, CO; Jodi Burant,
Saukville. Three grandchildren: Garrett and Grace Graf, Sophie
Burant. Three sisters: Pat (John) Wolfe, Stevens Point; Elaine (John)
Egle, Sussex; Cindy (Sam) Wiza, Rosholt. One brother: Steve (Donna)
Pehowski, Sussex and one sister-in-law Lucille Pehowski. She was
preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth, and infant brother
Raymond
