Grace G. McNutt age 89, of Stevens Point passed away Tuesday February 14, 2012.  She has resided at Wellington Place the past four years.

Funeral  services for Grace will be held at Noon Saturday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel.  Bill Christianson will officiate.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of services at the funeral chapel.  Burial will be in the St Joseph Parish Cemetery.

Grace was born April 2, 1922 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Jacob and Theresa (Strykowski) Shuda.  She attended local schools and after graduating high school, she moved to Milwaukee for a short time.  She returned to the area and began working at the Worth Company.  She moved to California in 1961, and married Alonzo (Connie) McNutt on June 21, 1963 in Las Vegas.  The couple settled in Southern California before moving to the Stevens Point area in the mid 1990's.  Grace enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking.  She was thrilled being around children and close to each of her grandchildren.  Grace loved the beauty of Wisconsin's four changing seasons, especially the trees.  She always had a kind word and a happy spirit.

She is survived by her three children: Karen Jackson, IL; Kurt (Geri) Smith, TN; Dennis (Rose) Smith, CA.  Two sisters: Mona Dieteman and Marlene Ostrowski, both of Stevens Point.  Sister-in-law Ruth Shuda, Stevens Point. Grandchildren: Cindi Krol, Dee (Tim) Hoffner, Eric (Bobbie) Smith, Melissa (Norm) Flinn, Justin (Cathie) Smith.  Great grandchildren: Michael, Michele, Austin, Stephanie, Addison, Avery, Hunter.  Further survived by nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alonzo, grandson Jason Smith, brother DeLoyd, sister Dorothy and son-in-law Bill.

The family wishes to thank Amber and her staff for making Wellington Place a happy home for Grace (Gracie).
