WASHINGTON (AP) -- The government says it's concerned that Iran will consider a terror attack on American soil, but it has no specific or credible threat about such a plan.
Police from Los Angeles to New York City say they are anxious about the risks, even as a senior U.S. intelligence official reassured Congress on Thursday that an attack appears unlikely.
Law enforcement officials are keeping an eye out for potential Iranian operatives or anyone with links to the country's proxy, Hezbollah (hez-BUH'-lah), as tensions escalate amid bombings overseas and tough talk from Iran's government about its nuclear energy program.
