Marshfield blood donors earn a night with Packers tight end
MILWAUKEE (PRESS RELEASE) - BloodCenter of Wisconsin has invited Marshfield blood donors to a "thank you" event featuring Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley.
The blood donors are winners of BloodCenter's Run Your Route Challenge – which challenged Wisconsin BloodCenter donor locations to compete for the highest turnout of donors between Dec. 1 and Jan 15. More than 400 Marshfield donors "ran their route" to the donor center to donate blood -- the best turnout in the state.
The celebration will take place at the Marshfield Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 750 S. Central Ave., at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29th. Finley will greet the guests and personally thank them for their life-saving gift. He will also raffle off 20 official, autographed footballs. Members of the Marshfield High School band will provide entertainment.
This is an invitation-only event to thank the Marshfield donors, who helped to maintain the blood supply for hospitals in 29 Wisconsin counties, including Ministry Health Care – St. Joseph's Hospital in Wood County. Their donations help children and adults who need blood for surgeries, cancer treatments and other life-saving measures.
