Edwin E. Wiza of Custer
passed away Monday morning February 20, 2012 at his home surrounded by his
family and under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edwin will be held at Noon Thursday at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Greg Michaud will
officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will
be from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of services at the church. A
general rosary will be prayed at the church Thursday at 11:00 AM. Shuda
Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Edwin was born July 16, 1926 in Polonia, the son of Frank and Pearl
(Pavelski) Wiza. He attended local schools and began his career as a
machine operator at Bake - Rite until their closure. He then worked at
Ore Ida Foods from 1985 until his retirement in 1996. Edwin married
Dolores Ann Bronk on July 30, 1949 at Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed
his career, cutting wood, and loved spending time with his family.
Edwin is survived by his wife Dolores: Their 5 children:
Christine (Tom) Clinton, Amherst; Betty (Robert) Kirsch, Stevens Point; Kathy
(Nels) Lea, Caddott; Randal (Gail) Wiza, Libbey, MT; Michael (Sherry) Wiza,
Stevens Point. 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
Edwin's family wishes to to thank "special" caregiver Innetta Posey
for her love, patients, and dedication to our family, as well as Ministry
Home Care Hospice for the loving care and compassion given to Edwin.
