DETROIT (AP) -- The Wayne County sheriff's department says a young jail inmate who escaped from a transport van in Detroit has been recaptured after six days at large.
The sheriff's department says Kcajun Burton fled Thursday on the city's west side. The sheriff's department and Michigan State Police searched for him following the escape.
The sheriff's department says its deputies caught Burton about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. His age is believed to be 17 or 18.
WJBK-TV says Burton is facing charges that include dozens of home invasions, elder abuse, armed robbery and assault with intent to commit murder.
