Marathon Co. law enforcement to step up patrols around St. Patrick's Day
MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) - Marathon County law enforcement agencies will step up their patrols around the St. Patrick's Day holiday.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says Marathon County Law Enforcement Agencies received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Safety.
The sheriff's department says the goal of the enforcement is to combat drunken driving and increase safety belt use. The agencies will intensify their efforts from March 5th-21, which includes the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
