SHAWANO COUNTY (WAOW) - A semi truck flipped over on Highway 29 near Shawano, spilling 26 tons of soybean meal.
Officers say an eastbound semi driven by Robert Bries, 48, of Crivitz crashed around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say Bries left the highway and began to roll over, but over-corrected to stay on the highway.
Bries was taken to Shawano Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say a medical condition may have caused the crash.
According to investigators, speed and alcohol do no appear to be factors.
Authorities say recovery efforts at the scene were hampered by the load of soybean meal from the trailer.
Both lanes of east-bound traffic were re-routed for several hours, while crews cleared the debris.
Parents left in the dark about a school threat in Tomahawk are speaking out.
