Missing Schofield man's car found

Authorities are searching for a Schofield man.

Lee Vesely, 36, has not been seen since Wednesday.

Rock County authorities say they found Vesely's minivan crashed into a tree Thursday.

Officers say both airbags were deployed, but there was no blood inside the vehicle at all.

The vehicle was frosted over, leading officers to believe that it may have been there for some time.

Vesely's family members contacted the Rock County Sheriff's Office concerned because nobody had seen Vesely since Wednesday.

Authorities say Vesely had been staying with his cousins in Delavan for the past couple weeks and working different construction job sites in the Walworth County area.

According to investigators, Vesely did not show up for work Wednesday or Thursday.

After speaking with several family members, deputies attempted to ping Vesely's cellular phone, but it was turned off or disabled so the GPS function was unable to provide information on Vesely's whereabouts.

Deputies also searched the area using a K-9 and are continuing their search using ATV's and snowmobiles.

Area hotels, hospitals and jails were contacted as well as authorities in the Marathon and Walworth County areas in attempts to locate Vesely.

Deputies are also searching Vesely's phone records and GPS coordinates hoping to find more information on his whereabouts.

Vesely is not considered to be a danger to the public, but officials are concerned for his safety and well-being.

Anyone with information on the crash or Vesely's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Rock County Communications Center at 608-757-2244.

Emerald Grove area residents are encouraged to check all out buildings on their properties and contact the Rock County Communications Center with any information.
