PORTAGE COUNTY (WAOW)--A plan for Portage County to join the rest of the state is delayed again. The county is the only one not on the on-line court records web page known as CCAP.
They hoped to join this week, but it's been pushed back another month. County officials tell Newsline 9 technical problems have caused the delay. They say 99 percent of the files have moved over, but some of the financial information was not.
The clerk of courts says that information is regarding who owes money to the county. Officials say they to make sure that's taken care of before they launch.
"I want 100 percent accurate information to be going on the web site when we do go live, and when everyone can access it," Portage County Clerk of Court Patricia Cal Baker said.
Currently, if anyone from the public wanted to look up court records, officials say they would have to do so in the courthouse. Baker says CCAP will go live March 30.
