SAINT PAUL, Minn. – UW-Stevens Point senior Erin Marvin (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) and junior Brooke Hanson (Maple Grove, MN/Maple Grove) have been selected as recipients of All-Northern Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCHA) honors. Marvin was named to the first team while Hanson was an honorable mention honoree.
This marks the third first team all-conference award for Marvin, who was selected by the league's coaches the past three seasons. Marvin led the Pointers this season in goals (16), assists (15) and points (31). She tallied seven power play goals and tallied four game-winners.
Marvin also became just the fourth women's hockey player in school history to eclipse the 100 point plateau, scoring 56 goals and registering 48 assists in her career, good for fourth all-time. She ranks third all-time in goals scored behind Nicole Grossmann and Jackie Schmitt.
Junior Brooke Hanson (Maple Grove, MN/Maple Grove) makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. She finished the season with 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists) and tallied one game-winning goal.
The Pointers finished the season 13-12-2. The team qualified as a six seed for the NCHA O'Brien Cup Playoffs
UW-Superior freshman Dani Schultz was voted the league's Player of the Year and her coach Dan Laughlin was voted NCHA Coach of the Year.
