Junilla G. Kafka, 86, of the Cady Home, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
She was born August 7, 1925 in the town of Emmet, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Michael) Kafka.
In her younger years, Junilla enjoyed baking cookies at North Central Health Care Facilities and was proud to know all the recipes by heart. She loved going to Camp Blessing, and did beautiful embroidery, latch hook and jigsaw puzzles. When her eyesight began to fade, Junilla stilled colored and enjoyed word search.
She was the last in a family of seven and was preceded in death by four sisters, Eulalia Lemanski, Arlene Schefdore, Verene Christenson and Virginia Vickerman; and two brothers, Harold and Gilbert Kafka.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. Rev. Barnabas Kyeah will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 9:30 a.m. for family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Cady Home, the staff of CCCW, Davita, formerly Ministry Health Care, where she received dialysis and the doctors and staff at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston.
