UPDATE: 3 Rapids wrestlers enter no contest pleas

Posted:
WOOD COUNTY (WAOW) -

Four Wisconsin Rapids wrestlers accused with disorderly conduct appeared in Wood County Court Friday.

Zachary Benitz, Devin Peterson and Kasey Einerson each entered no contest pleas. Rylan Lubeck did not enter a plea.

According to a criminal complaint, the four danced naked around the locker room -- at times, touching their genitals to another wrestler -- during the 2010-2011 season.

A Wood County Judge told Einerson and Benitz that they will get deferred judgment for one year. They must also do 100 hours of community service and avoid criminal activity. In addition, the two must each write a three-page paper about how this case has affected defendants, their families, school, team and community.

Peterson was ordered to report to jail. He will stay there through Monday. He will also spend spring break in jail.

Lubeck will return to court for trial at a future date.

A judge could decide the fate for four Wisconsin Rapids wrestlers in court on Friday. Last month, the Wood County district attorney told Newsline 9 a plea agreement had been reached.

Zachary Benitz, Devin Peterson, Rylan Lubeck and Kasey Einerson each face one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

According to a criminal complaint, the four danced naked around the locker room -- at times, touching their genitals to another wrestler -- during the 2010-2011 season.

Newsline 9 will have a crew in the courtroom and bring you the latest updates online and on the air throughout the day.
