BERLIN (AP) -- Police say a 78-year-old man shot and killed two doctors in southwestern Germany before killing himself as police closed in.
Police said the man entered a clinic in Weilerbach, near Kaiserslautern, Monday afternoon and immediately opened fire, then fled, the news agency dapd reported.
As police gave chase, they say he fired at officers and wounded one before retreating inside his home.
When police stormed the building, they found the man dead inside.
A motive was not immediately clear, and police say it is not known whether the man, whose name was not released, was a patient.
