Wis. girl accused of trying to run over 2 teens

NEENAH, Wis. (AP) -- A 17-year-old Neenah girl is accused of trying to run over two teenagers with her car.

The suspect was in jail Monday. Police say they will recommend two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide against her.

Chief Kevin Wilkinson says the 17-year-old was driving her car in Neenah Sunday when an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl walked up.

Wilkinson says the 17-year-old apparently tried to run them over. The two girls clung to the hood as the 17-year-old drove erratically and tried to shake them from the car.

The Post-Crescent reports the 15-year-old fell off the hood and had minor injuries. But the 18-year-old suffered major injuries, including head trauma.

The 17-year-old fled but later came to the police department with her father and was arrested.
