KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) -- A Wisconsin man has been arrested in south-central Nebraska, accused of possessing 72 pounds of marijuana.

The Nebraska State Patrol says 38-year-old Xay Vue, of Appleton, Wis., was arrested early Tuesday morning just east of Kearney along Interstate 80.

The patrol says a trooper pulled over Vue's car for speeding. A patrol dog alerted troopers to the odor of drugs, so the vehicle was searched. The patrol says 72 pounds of marijuana was found in the trunk.

A Buffalo County jailer says Vue remains in custody. Online court records don't list the case yet.
