UPDATE: 2 dead in western Wis. house fire

TOWN OF OSCEOLA, Wis. (AP) -- Crews have recovered a second body from a burned-out house in western Wisconsin.

Polk County sheriff's Sgt. Steve Smith tells WCCO-AM the body was found about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and removed about a half-hour later.

Another body was found in the ruins of the wood-frame house near Osceola just after 2 p.m. Names of the victims have not been released.

Law officers and firefighters responded to a 911 call about 7 a.m. Tuesday and found the house engulfed in flames in the Town of Osceola.

A man who escaped the fire was taken to Osceola Hospital. Authorities don't know the man's condition but say it doesn't appear to be serious.

Authorities don't know what caused the fire. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports a state fire marshal has been requested.
