Helen M. Ksiazek age 93, of Stevens Point passed away March 5, 2012 at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Funeral services for Helen will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday March 9, 2012 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Friday until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Helen was born May 18, 1918 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (Las) Tylka. After her schooling, Helen moved to Chicago with her sisters and held various employment there. She met John Ksiazek while in Chicago and the two married in 1943. The couple resided in Chicago, until after John's military service ended during WWII, and they moved to Stevens Point. They raised a family here, and after the kids had grown, Helen worked at Ben Franklin Jr. High School in food service for a number of years. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend.
Helen is survived by her children: Bernadine (Chet) Wroblewski, Nashotah; Judy Ksiazek (Gene Hersey), Almond; John Ksiazek, Stevens Point. Two grandchildren: Scott Wroblewski, Milwaukee; Kevin (Sarah) Wroblewski, Genesee. One great granddaughter: Olivia Hope Wroblewski, Genesee. Two sisters: Genevieve LaGioia, AZ; Marie (Cletus) Tepp, Whiting. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 2002, one sister Anna Bielecki, and three brothers: Stephen, Joseph, and Thomas.
