COLBY, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker has ordered state flags at half-staff Friday in honor of a Marathon County sheriff's deputy killed while serving as a volunteer firefighter.

A funeral service for 34-year-old Jamison Kampmeyer is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at his alma mater, Colby High School. The husband and father of three died last Sunday while fighting a fire at the Abbotsford Movie Theater.

Kampmeyer was a sheriff's detective, SWAT team and field training officer and served on the Colby Volunteer Fire Dept. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and later attended the Northcentral Technical College Police Recruit Academy. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and before the service Friday.
