GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) -- A second Israeli airstrike today in the Gaza Strip has killed two more people described by Israel's military as militants who were preparing an attack on Israel.
The first airstrike killed the commander of the militant group that was behind the abduction of an Israeli soldier. A second militant was also killed in that attack. Israel's military says the commander had been plotting an infiltration attack into Israel similar to one that his group carried out in August that killed eight people.
Israel is warning the Hamas rulers of Gaza against retaliating.
Hours later, according to a Gaza health official, two others were killed in an airstrike east of Gaza City. Israel says they were getting ready to launch a rocket attack.
