Mary M. Bablitch, age 91, of Stevens Point, died March 12, 2012 at St Michael's Hospital.

Mary was born November 21, 1920 to the late Karl & Marie (Halloran) Grover in Fairbury, NE.

She moved to Stevens Point in 1938 and worked at Hardware Mutual until her marriage to Robert L. Freiberg in 1942. He preceded her in death in September of 1952.

Mary attended UWSP and received a Bachelor and Master degree in Education. She taught in the Stevens Point District Schools until retirement in 1982.

She married Albert Bablitch in 1971. He preceded her in death in 1973.

Mary loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling with them throughout the U.S.  Mary was an avid volunteer for Operation Bootstrap, St Michael's Hospital, Meals On Wheels, Hospice, and St Joseph Catholic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, knitting, & quilting.

Survivors include her son Richard (D'Anna) Freiberg of Roscoe, IL, Betsy (Don) Ceplina of Stevens Point, Mary Lou (Jack) Adams of Carmel, IN, Barbara (Fran) Roman of Stevens Point, Rita (Steve) Eisenhauer of Amherst, Cathy Wachowiak of Waupaca, & Steve (Elaine) Bablitch of White Fish Bay; and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by 2 husbands; son, Robert J. Freiberg; brother, John Grover; and sister, Betty Burke

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am, March 17, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stevens Point, with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Boston Funeral Home with a time of reflection at 7:30 pm. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be held in Forest Cemetery.
