(CNN)--The Tennessee Titans are reportedly putting their financial future on the line to win the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.
Houston station K-H-O-U is reporting that Titans owner Bud Adams offered the former University of Tennessee star a contract "for life" to join the team.
Manning was in Nashville Wednesday to meet with Titans head coach Mike Munchak and other team personnel.
Adams says Tennessee fans have a lot of respect for Manning and it would be a perfect landing place for the future Hall of Famer.
Manning has also visited the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.
The Indianapolis Colts released their long-time quarterback last week after Manning sat out all last season because of a neck injury.
